Some cute kiddos in Kortor snack on "wild plums' - an NTFP (non timber forest products) that they collect from the surrounding forest and use for medicinal purposes. They are holding something called "mahn-kay" (unsure just how it is spelled), a tasty snack that is also used to treat malaria...

Kola Nuts - Another valuable NTFP. 

The Kortor VSLA (Village Saving's and Loan Association) box holder. The box has three locks, with three different keys, that are held by different VSLA members. Each member contributes 1,000 Leones per week (25 cents, roughly). The funds are used to give small loans to members, or to help out the community in an emergency.
