Wrapping up in PZ1

Some final pictures from around PZ1 (Sekou Soriya, Kholba, Kortor, and Fundukori).

Chief of Fundukori, Sierra Leone shows us the damage of a recent bush fire.

One of my favorite folks in Kholba, Guinea - the chairman of the STEWARD fire management committee.

Houssainatou and Natalie (2 of my field assistants) in Sekou Soriya, Guinea.

In the heat of the day, even the sheep and goats know better than to sit in the sun.

Kholba, Guinea is an exceptionally happy place.

Kortor Community School - currently a bamboo and thatch structure.

Waiting out a rainstorm in Sekou Soriya, Guinea

Paper airplanes - a convenient skill to have when there are small boys around.

Two of my best gals in Madina Oula... and a pretty rocking outfit.

Oxen.

A really deliciously cute baby in Kholba.

Studying the Koran in Fundukori.

A boy and a bird. I'll leave it at that.
